  Solid trucking sim with a lot of little improvements

  I've been a sucker for the 18 Wheels series (SCS Software developed those games as well) and I'd been hearing/reading about how great ETS 2 was so I had to try it. I didn't even know about it (never played the first ETS). This review's gonna get a bit long. Feel free to skip to the bottom if you're not interested in the details.LONG VERSION:This time through, you can see the "maturity" of the game's design. SCS has added and removed features over the years in the various incarnations of the 18 Wheels games. They add a feature, then remove it then add it and do something else. In a way, I wish they'd just throw all the better features in the game and let the player decide what to turn on or off.Gripes aside, the game looks great, hasn't been buggy or crashed, and gives you (almost) everything you'd want in a trucking sim. Keep in mind, I've only played about 4.5 hours playing so far.   Great Price, Great Game

  Who woulda thunk that a truck driving simulator would be engaging, but I found myself surprised. If you're still not convinced, go watch some gameplay on youtube. This game is not enjoyable using a keyboard/mouse.   Excellent simulator

  This is probably the highest quality simulator aside from flying sims that is well worth the money. It's graphically immersive, lots of small details and it's all optomized for low end pc builds. Some simulators I've played in the past made me hate the very thing they were trying to simulate. This game has made me appreciate trucking a lot more, yes its a job but it's also addicting in the game. It's relaxing to me to head out on a trip, crank the radio up and enjoy the scenery. Same thing as if I was driving my own vehicle. It gives yea purpose of building a company and practicing good driving habits. Theirs planned dlc for the game in the works and the developer is doing a good job patching the game.   Not Much To Say Except, IT WORKS!!!

  Well, I don't know exactly why the passPORT won't work for the 1-star reviewer, BUT IT WORKED FOR ME! I got a Panasonic CQ-C7303U radio 2 years ago and then the iPod adapter for it over 1 year ago. At that time, I had the 5th gen iPod video, then after that crapped out on me, I got the 3rd gen. nano (8GB). Then I upgraded to the 4th gen. nano almost as soon as it came out, so I could have double the memory (16GB).Well, once I got the 4th gen. nano and plugged it into my radio, everything worked (it played/controlled through the radio), but I would get this message at the bottom of the nano's screen saying: "Charging is not supported for this accessory". (Or something like that.) And indeed the nano lost battery power much faster than it would listening to music through the headphones. (It makes since that more juice would be sucked up listening to music through the docking port.)   If you have an iPhone 3G, an iPod touch 2G or a nano 4G, you need this.

  When Apple introduced its latest batch of music players, it quietly removed the last remnant of FireWire compatibility it had been keeping in to maintain compatibility with older accessories: 12V charging support.Unfortunately, this means the new devices cannot charge on older "compatible" docks, and even on recent ones because some manufacturers have been ignoring Apple's warnings and have persisted on shipping 12V devices even after being told support for this voltage was likely to disappear from new models of iPods.Luckily, Scosche was able to come up with an inexpensive pass-through adapter which lowers the voltage and supplies 5V to the right pin, essentially restoring the charging capability of your old device with your new iPod.There is not much to be said about the device itself: you plug it between the dock and the iPod, and it works.I have been using mine for several weeks with my iPod touch 2G with three devices it couldn't charge... 5/5 esanta "esanta" (San Jose, CA USA) - See all my reviews, December 5, 2008

  Iphone 3G users pay close attention

  Simply put, it works in some situations and not in others. If you're looking for an in-car solution for your Iphone 3G, you need to pay attention to how your Iphone works with your in-car solution right now. If you get the "nag screen" about putting it in airplane mode, and it won't charge, but you can get sound out of it through your car stereo, this will work for you. If you can't get it to charge or you can't get sound out of it, this unit WILL NOT WORK. Scosche is not being very upfront about the capabilities of the PassPort so you need to take it from buyers like me who ended up having to resort to buying new headunits (Pioneer DEH-4000UB, if you're curious) that definitely WILL charge and get audio from the Iphone 3G.   Useful for 18 years!

  This book was a big part of reason why my 240 DL lasted 18 years. Even though it is limited on many detailed repairs and tries to cover several models and engines, it is sufficient for the weekend mechanic that wants to save money on general maintanence. Great for water pumps, brakes, starters, injectors, tolerances, specs, and emission guidance. Should be used in tandem with the Haynes book to get a clearer understanding and second view on more serious repairs. If things get too tough, I lay the book down and take it to a mechanic.   For my 1989 740GL Wagon, this manual is useless. I believe that, in general, Chilton books are useful, but this book simply covers too many models and years to have any level of detail in its instructions.   Hoppy short proof converter

  This is a splice it yourself kit, you have to know which wires to splice into, so you'll need to know your wiring harness. Install was easy for me because I was replacing a burned out converter that was plug and play. The wires on the old converter were marked, so I just wired right up to those. The directions suck (hence 4 stars instead of 5) The hardest part is getting a feed up to the battery, as this has it's own VBATT circuit to prevent burning out your car's lighting circuits. Just takes some time working your way along the floor trim and finding a hole in the firewall. I've had too many problems with shorts on trailers taking out cheapo converters, so I figured it was worth the extra dough. So far, I'm satisfied.   Works well so far, but not a fan of the changes

  Product works as described so far. My only complaint is that the old versions had a connector on the side that you plugged in the trailer extension harness, which was a flat 4-wire cable. This version has no connector on the unit, just a couple feet of 4 individual wires terminating in the 4 pin trailer plug. I understand that it's cheaper to manufacture this way, but it just looks cheesy, and now instead of the nice 4 wire flat cable I have 4 individual wires that I had to wire tie every 4 inches to keep under control exiting the vehicle.I would happily paid the extra dollar to have the decent cable with a connector on both ends. 4/5 subdude (south central pa) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)   Trailer Wiring made easy

  This is the unit that you want. I had to replace the trailer adapter that came with our Subaru Forester. The lights on the trailer were acting really strange. It seems that when one of the tail lights burned out it took the electrical adapter with it. The Hopkins 46365 is short proof, was easy to install, and works great.
